Ready to improve your confidence, timing and understanding around cattle? This 2-day clinic is designed to help riders develop real horsemanship and cattle-working skills — both on the ground and in the saddle. Throughout the weekend we will cover: ✔️ Horsemanship foundations ✔️ Softness, body control & responsiveness ✔️ Mechanical cow exercises ✔️ Positioning & timing on cattle ✔️ Understanding pressure and cattle movement ✔️ Working cattle with your horse ✔️ Building confidence for both horse & rider 🔥 A unique part of this clinic is our cattle handling sessions ON FOOT. These sessions are designed to help riders better understand: 🐄 How cattle think 🐄 How pressure affects movement 🐄 Positioning and control 🐄 Reading cattle behaviour and flow By learning to understand and feel cattle on the ground first, riders often gain more confidence, timing and understanding once back in the saddle. 🐎 Suitable for riders wanting to build confidence, improve horsemanship and develop better cattle-working skills in a supportive learning environment. FOCUS TRAINING

Do I need to have worked cattle before?
No. Focus Training is designed to build the foundations for cattle work. Many riders start here prior to entering the pen.

 

Is this suitable for green horses?
Yes, provided your horse is riding quietly and safely. Focus Training emphasises softness, control, and understanding.

 

What will we work on?
Rider position, leg aids, body control, softness, and progression into mechanical cow work where appropriate.

 

How many riders are in a session?
Small groups to allow individual feedback and progression.

 

Do I need my own horse?
Yes. Riders must supply their own horse and gear.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING SESSIONS

Who are these sessions best suited for?

Riders who already have basic control and are ready to work cattle in a coached environment.

 

How many riders per session?

Small group sizes to ensure quality coaching and safe cattle work.

Limited to up to 6. 

In the event that there is more then 6 riders additional time will be added to ensure value for money.

 

Will I get individual feedback?

Yes. While these are group sessions, coaching is tailored to each rider and horse.

 

Are cattle supplied?

Yes, when cattle sessions are scheduled.

 

What should I bring?

Your horse, standard riding gear, water, and a positive mindset.
